Nelson Luxury Homes Names Tella Firma Foundations a Preferred Provider

David-Nelson's-Logo--David-Nelson-Homes2(Farmers Branch—March 8, 2016) Nelson Luxury Homes announced today it has named Tella Firma Foundations a preferred provider of foundations for its custom homes.

“We are proud to be working with David Nelson, as his experience runs the gamut, all the way from building volume homes to multi-million dollar custom homes,” said Jim Fontaine, CEO of Tella Firma. “Nelson Luxury Homes has used our foundation on 10 homes to date, and we look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship.”

By using a field-tested, patented process of elevating a slab-on-grade foundation, Tella Firma creates a protective void between the ground and the home itself. This application isolates the slab and guards it from damaging soil swells, contractions and unexpected movement caused by light earthquakes. Most foundation damage results from soil movement that can be caused by expansion and contraction of clay soils due to moisture change or by seismic activity.

“I’m currently building in the Farmers Branch area near Brookhaven Country Club, where many homes are being torn down and rebuilt,” said Nelson. “Farmers Branch is known for its expansive soils, and my engineer recommended Tella Firma as a solution. A Tella Firma foundation system works great and is right in line with what I give my clients: the latest improvements in home building.”

The Tella Firma foundation system is based on commercial engineering principles in practice for over 50 years. The system provides the strength and protection of a pier- and-beam foundation yet is much more affordable and takes less time to install when compared to most traditional, suspended foundations. Tella Firma foundations also utilize a green installation process to avoid the need for any type of chemical or water injection into the soil under the home.

David Nelson has been in the construction industry for over 28 years and has owned his own company, Nelson Luxury Homes ( ), for seven years. His business predominately comes from word of mouth, due to his reputation as a builder of quality homes.
